Some general, quick thoughts:

Is this the end of the Melissa McCarthy discussion? This looks like the most probable AMPAS Supporting Actress line-up
Jonah Hill again...should we be taking him more seriously
A little love again for The Ides of March (but no Evan Rachel Wood!), but that feels like the kind of film the HFPA loves and the Oscars ignore
Some War Horse love, no Extremely Close love (do I need to ask...did they see it?)

It already streamed on Radar Online.

The nominees are up at the same link below.

And my one Oscar wish this year is that Jonah Hill is NOT nominated...

And why do these give me the scary suspicion that either Angelina Jolie and/or Madonna will be nominated Best Director?

True but they nominated Johnny Depp and Anjelina Jolie for The Tourist. So I threw in one stupid nod.

Adam Sandler for Jack & Jill? Really? It's one of the worst reviewed movies of the year. I think the starfuck choice would be Tom Hanks in Larry Crowne.

On one level it makes sense for her to be - the film hasn't done incredibly well in precursors so far and it's a tiny indie. But on the other hand, Olsen is the sister of the (in)famous twins and the HFPA would probably wet themselves at the prospect of having them show up at the ceremony. Plus, they like ingenues.

You have My Week with Marilyn as a comedy AND as beating The Artist? Damn, kiddo. Bold predictions.
I thought My Week With Marilyn was submitted as a Comedy/Musical?

When I watched The Artist I wasn't blown away. It is definitely a nice change to film and a great ode to of the classics, but all around it was just okay. It's worth being nominated but definitely not any wins... Imo
