Only note of interest to me? They've clearly seen The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and War Horse and are not impressed.

I chekced out their website and from what I can tell their credentials are no more impressive than those of the National Board of Review, perhaps less so. At least the anonymous NBR crowd is purportedly serious about film. These guys are mostly web guys and gals with more of an interest in social media and video games. Thier favorite films run the gamut of Raiders of the Lost Ark to the James Bond films. Even the Washington Post guy isn't an actual film critic.

I'd like to thank this group for reminding me right at the top how loathsome this season can be. I really need to see some obscure group's list of NOMINEES for art direction, let along supporting actress.

Oh -- but it might predict the Oscars!!!

50/50 for best original screenplay? Like they haven't seen a cancer victim film before !! Absurd.

No more absurd than a nomination for Bridesmaids in the same category, but then I doubt they've seen a fat girl defecate in a sink before.
