Interesting trivia: ANGUS WALL and KIRK BAXTER became the first back to back winners for Best Film Editing in 75 years, since Ralph Dawson won back to back Oscars for "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1935) and "Anthony Adverse" (1936)
And also, the last time a picture won Best Editing without any other win was Bullit in 1968

For a while, I thought this would win for the simple reason that of Best Editing = Most Editing in the Academy's minds. I would have liked Moneyball to take it, but this is a pretty strong selection.
It's also very amusing to watch people win who clearly had no idea they were going to.

Glad to see the Academy can still surprise on a cut-and-dried night like this. Really should have kept it as my pick!

The night's biggest surprise. I went for the default Best Picture front-runner but The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo had lotsa cutting involved but it wasn't a Best Picture nominee so.....

I didn't care for the choice, but loved the winner's reaction.

Good choice overall. Didn't see this coming, either.

Good, precedent-breaking selection.
I wonder if this is the first time there has been back-to-back winners in this category?
