Besides those you and Anonymous got, I got "The Last Time I Saw Paris" for Midnight in Paris and "Birth of the Blues" for The Help, then I went here which lists them all:

The Tree of Life is "Alfie".

The Artist one is naggingly familiar. I know I know that song. I'll edit it in when I know it.

EDIT: The one about The Artist is "I Won't Dance" by Fred Astaire. Goddammit. That almost drove me crazy.

Help Identifying Songs

Post by OscarGuy »

So, I'm working on the Oscar Ceremony section of my website and I need some help. Every time Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars, he did a medley of songs. I have all of the song spoofs from the all of his hosting jobs except one: the 84th. Here's a link to the YouTube video.

Can anyone help me identify all of them? I need the actual song names each was based on, not the spoof names. I've listed the songs I know already next to the appropriate films.

The order is:
The Artist
War Horse (Theme from Mister Ed)
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (Thanks for the Memory)
Moneyball
Hugo (That's Amore)
The Tree of Life
The Descendants
Midnight in Paris
The Help
