That ending was just... um, perfect.

But the children, Sonic... the CHILDREN!!!!

The audience really has no idea why they can't leave yet.

Except for when the announce the winners, I'm paying no attention whatsover to the show. None at all.

So, do you think Jean Luc Godard is sorry he couldn't be there?

No applause and no sound clips made this the best In Memorium segment in years.

It would be odd for Tom Hooper to win at this point in the night, with King's Speech winning only one award so far.

I think they finally got a good mic to the singer that won't take background noise and then didn't queue in the audience to the In Memoriam

Wait, why aren't they applauding at various levels during the dead people montage?

Am I just imagining things in the moment, or is this year's host/presenter banter even more excruciating than in previous years? I laughed at Justin Timberlake's "I'm Banksy" moment, and have cringed my way through pretty much everything else so far (other than the acceptance speeches), and we've still got a long way to go.

I just saw a JP Morgan add trying to replicate the collapsing city of Inception.

*shrugs*

Like wow, this broadcast is ending up below the 90th percentile of broadcasts. If this is what "hipper and younger" is supposed to represent, I'm glad I'm aging.

I think it's a bad show but I've come to appreciate the awkwardness that awards shows can provide - wish it could be cranked up a few notches. (I.e., show more James Franco.)
