Addendum to Reznor's Tombstone:

"Said fist fuck; won a Grammy,
Played five notes; won an Oscar"

He is halfway to his OBEG or whatever the abbreviation is!

SO happy about this win! I really thought it meant Social Network was going to eke out a victory overall, but then the Director announcement, and the balloon popped.

Still, fantastically happy for Reznor and Ross.

So far, only two precursor winners (where the Oscar winner was nominated) haven't matched: Sound Mixing went to True Grit from CAS and the ADG gave their prize to Inception.

I'm going to keep this question in mind until the end of the broadcast. Whichever way Best Picture goes, it may well be the most salient point of the night.

It would be very mean for them to dash Mister Tee's hopes like this.

Or they are starting to be forward-thinkers...then again, Alice in Wonderland won two awards, so maybe not.

It was a very interesting score, but it is odd for the Oscars to give this award to something so minimalist. From this decade, the only other winner that comes even close to this style would be BABEL. All the other past winners in the past ten were more rich and traditional scores. How can THE KING'S SPEECH lost costume, set, and score but still win Best Picture? This is turning into a very odd Oscar night.

The Awards are not giving much indication
I think its win here MAY be a sign that it's going to win because if the Academy, as a whole, voted for an unconventional score such as this, they probably voted for it in Best Picture.

At least that's what I think.
