Firth was tremendous in King's Speech, so I wouldn't consider this a makeup Oscar. After all, I don't think anyone who voted felt guilty about giving Jeff Bridges his Oscar last year.
The thing that I hate most about the Oscars...once this happens once, it literally must go on forever....rolotomasi99 wrote:Makes up for him losing last year, but it is not just a "make up" award.
The madness of the subjectivity of the Oscars...always in your mind...nagging at you...Jeff Bridges loses his nomination for Last Picture Show and this (specific) vicious cycle begins.
