International Cinephile Society Nominations
Well, maybe – I haven't seen Invictus yet – but I think this one is more of the one-movie-one-lead-per-gender policy we're experiencing for the past 18 years, so when there are two same gender leads one is automatically relegated to support, based on the nature of the roles, seniority or the level of praise each actor got. In Cruz's case none of the above reasoning is applicable. I guess it has something to do with the fact that all year long there seemed to be a reserved slot on the supporting actress lineup under Cruz name for Nine, but when these guys actually saw that movie, they just altered the film name. The Original BJ wrote:See also: Matt Damon, Invictus.

They're a group out of Bakersfield, CA. Here's their website:Zahveed wrote:It took a society of international cinephiles to nominate Laurent, Copley, McKay, and Swinton.
Who is this group made of? I like their thinking.
