Maybe I missed it. But it appears that when they had the list of Scorcese's films they left off New York, New York and Boxcar Bertha. And I did not notice any clips from either of those films during the tribute. Hey, they are not prime Scorcese, but neither was Bringing Out The Dead or Into The Night and both of those films were well represented in the tribute. I especially liked how in New York Marty was consciously trying to recreate a Hollwood film of the 1940's without forgetting he was making a very different type of story. And I think Liza's version of the song rules!

Damn this power cut right in the middle of the Scorsese tribute. Will miss the show now. Power comes back in an hour.

They have that problem every year.

And, I agree, Ricky Gervais is doing fantastic.

Damn you, Wikipedia, you false prophet!

So far, my favorite part of the show is watching the winners struggling to find a pathway to the stage to accept their awards.

I know. I'm watching it.

I've got Wikipedia open on my laptop and someone seems to have posted that she won.

Has Marion Cotillard won over Meryl Streep?

Wikipedia is telling me this...

I'll give them their own thread, they may just come a little slower due to updating the main page first.

If you're not giving the winners their own thread, do we do live commentary here instead?

Also, everybody have a fun evening tonight.
