Yes, that explain why ASC has always been the lousiest Oscar predictor.

Is the show running behind schedule? Did the producers make a sudden backstage decision to nix the clips?

If any technical award cries out for clips, it's this one. Right?

After the Sound awards, this came as a bit of a surprise. I still think it was easily the least of the nominees.
