Time to stop procrastinating and start predicting.

I'll host in a separate thread.

We all seem to be for a contest, yet nobody is very eager to host it...maybe we should face reality and not have one after all!

Is there any point to break the tradition?

The vote is now 19-2 and we're still in need of a volunteer to do the tallies.

With a vote of 14-1, I'd say your idea fell a bit flat.

Now all we need is a volunteer to do the tallying.

I beg that either Meryl, Gabourey or Carey win.

I don't think that there is any greater consensus on winners this year than what was on previous years. On nominees, there may have been.

Well, if Sandra Bullock wins Best Actress, it will be a sign of the impending apocalypse, so why not have fun before we all go?

Why not? There's always a surprise or two that someone may actually get.

Now watch Best Picture go to District 9.

And the UAADB contest almost always lists Runners-Up, which if we all agree on the top spot, we may not all agree on what would win in the situation we are wrong about the top spot.

Last year, I'd agree with you. This year, I don't think anyone can entirely agree on Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and a few others. It's not an open-and-shut case.

It seems to me there is such enormous consensus on the winners in just about every category that, if we have a contest, everyone will make almost identical predictions. I just don't see the point in having a contest this year.
