That would be fantastic! Hers are two of the best Bond songs ever.

Word on the street is that 72-year-old Shirley Bassey is working with current Bond composer David Arnold on something. Could she be recording a new Bond theme? Interesting.

And after the Dr. Evil parodies in the Austin Powers films, I think they should leave Blofeld in the past, as well; it might cause unintended laughter.

I'm just following what I've read. Here's the article I read on it. Now, of course this is a rumor, but who said they couldn't pay for the rights to it or work in coordination with estate. Who really knows for sure. I'm just reporting what I read.

Michael Sheen isn't going to be Blofeld. You can rest assured that we all saw the last of Blofeld in Diamonds Are Forever (unless you count his cameo in For Your Eyes Only, although he's never called out by name) since EON/Danjaq lost all rights to the character and his criminal organization, SPECTRE, to Kevin McClory in a bitter legal dispute. Both Blofeld and SPECTRE returned in Never Say Never Again, a remake of Thunderball which was executive-produced by McClory (who also owned all rights to Thunderball, which he was awarded in 1963 following a dispute with Ian Fleming) and, along with the 1967 version of Casino Royale, is one of only two James Bond films not produced by EON. This is why the producers created QUANTUM for the new series of films instead of resurrecting SPECTRE. Perhaps Michael Sheen is being considered for a Blofeld-esque role, but unless the Broccolis are willing to get entangled in a copyright lawsuit with Kevin McClory's estate, they'd be smart to let Blofeld rest in peace.

Certainly good news to be rid of Haggis and with Morgan on board, that pretty much explains why I was reading that Michael Sheen was being heavily considered for the role of Blofeld.
