Pats self on the back.

I don't have to make anymore correct predictions this season!
Quit while you're batting 1.000.
Yeah, by the end of March that decimal will move to the left a couple places.

So Kirby may well get a shot now at an Oscar nod.

Nobody is getting nominated for a film by Kornél Mundruczó and this is not to be taken as a slight to the director by me it is just that his previous work is so far removed from the orbit of the Academy and I don't see why this film, just because it happens to be in English should be any different.

Kornél Mundruczó is very much an acquired taste.

It's a Canadian film with no distribution deal and no release date, but anything's possible I suppose.

It would be great to see Ellen Burstyn back in awards chatter but at 88 how is she the mother of 32-year-old Vanessa Kirby? Why didn't they make the character her grandmother?

Vanessa Kirby and Ellen Burstyn could make it to the Oscars.
