Okri, thanks for compiling this. I tried to glean the contenders from the list, but my eyes kind of glazed over.

It seems less a state-of-the-season line-up than in previous years; alot, as you indicate, were previously screened, and a number of hottish Fall titles are missing. One omission I'd call attention to: isn't Up in the Air being shown? We're justifiably dubious about a Reitman film, but, as Sabin notes elsewhere, the buzz on the film is high even by current debased standards.

I'm at this point counting on Venice/Toronto for some surprise entries. The name-brand schedule between now and Christmas underwhelms me.

Creation will be the opening night film (the first not to be Canadian ever, right? Sorta disappointing - I liked that tradition).

And for Penelope: The Vintner's Luck will be playing at TIFF.
