when did they kiss? i only saw the movie once, but as i remember the movie freezes right before they actually kiss. i thought it was supposed to be an homage to the chaste bollywood films which do not allow kissing. could be wrong about that.

also, what the heck is with the love for freida pinto? her bafta nomination was utterly confusing. is it just because she is so beautiful people feel she gave a good performance? not to pile on to you moviewes, just wondering if you think she deserves a breakthrough performance nomination or you are just predicting she will be.

No way Watchmen gets nominated. It's just not being embraced by audiences. However, I wouldn't count out Jackie Earle Haley for Best Male Performance, especially over Patrick Wilson.

Slumdog Millionaire is almost certainly going to be nominated for Best Movie. I think that WALL-E is also a pretty safe bet. I'm not so sure about Twilight.

Tropic Thunder is far more likely to be nominated than Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The thought of MTV nominating Kate Winslet for The Reader is laughable.

Why no Dev Patel and Freida Pinto for Best Kiss? And why no Freida Pinto for Best Breakthrough Performance either?

Wouldn't Forgetting Sarah Marshall have been eligible last year?
