The people I know who are deep into cartoons much prefer Kung Fu Panda to Wall-E. The regular movie people seem to go with Wall-E.

I watched Kung Fu Panda today, I liked it more than Wall-E, easily. Great score, too.

They probably thought that Kung Fu Panda had no chances at the Oscars, so it's better to give it some credit here before Wall-E wins it's awards for Animated Film and Sound Effects.

I'm not surprised- Kung Fu Panda is the more impressive feat of character animation, which is the craft held in highest regard by most in the animation industry. But Wall-E is the better film.

This will not carry over to the Oscars. WALL-E just has too much support from all the other branches for this to happen.

I guess it's a good thing that the Academy has the Animated Feature category now.

That's bullshit.

I mean, I liked Kung Fu Panda just fine. It's a very good animated feature. Certainly, the best animated feature churned out by Dreamworks.

But WALL-E is a freakin' MASTERPIECE.

That's interesting. Who knew that animators could have sour grapes!
