Well, I guess we all knew it had its work cut out for it to actually make a run for it in the Oscar BP category.

Oh, and Miley CIrus is nominated for best song. Wouldn't want to leave out a "rising Star", would they?

Lotta Doubt nominations and still no BP nod for that one.

Tom Cruise did his best work in years in Tropic Thunder, but this nomination is a joke considering the many who were overlooked.

Now I don't know what to think about its viability as a BP candidate. On the other hand, The Dark Knight didn't make any headway from these GG nods, either.

The Golden Globes become more irrelevant to the Oscar race each year - I presume the Tom Cruise nomination is for Tropic Thunder? Wasted spot, about as likely to make the Oscars as Julia Roberts last year.

And I guess I was right about Kristin Scott-Thomas after all.

Sort of the HFPA's "Brokeback moment," snubbing Milk nearly across the board and bending over backwards to clear a space for unnamed violently closeted superstar in the best supporting actor race.

What's this Tom Cruise supporting actor nomination for?

I guess the big surprise is Milk being shut out entirely aside from Sean Penn. And Revolutionary Road managed to get a little wind in the sails.

Tom Cruise is surprise.

No "Wall-E" for Comedy.

They loved "In Brudges."

Pitt and Jolie get noms.

No "W."

Boy does the HFPA muck up the entire Oscar Race.
