I didn't mean In Bruges wasn't on the radar as much as Farrell wasn't. I mean after tonight, he is, but too little, too late, IMO. In Bruges could be a surprise nominee for Original Screenplay or possibly even the odd-man-out director slot.

Thoroughly enjoyable film, great performance. Well-deserved. And who says In Bruges is not on "Oscar's radar"?

I have never liked Colin Farrrell on screen and if I had seen the trailer for In Bruges one more time last winter I would have screamed in the theatre. But his acceptnce speech was lovely.

OMG! Sorry for disagreeing with you guys. Totally unexpected and totally undeserved! He robbed Dustin Hoffman (last chance of winning?) I would have even accepted Brendan Gleeson award.

Excellent choice, a great performance. He was endearingly charming and humble in his acceptance.

How does anyone know what's on the Academy's radar...?

He's not going to be nominated for the Oscar. In Bruges isn't really even on Oscar's radar.

Is this a George Clooney 'Oh, Brother Where Art Thou' type win, or could Farrel be the surprise nominee this year?

I need to see this film. I've been meaning to for weeks.

For someone always so seemingly sure of himself, his nervous was kind of endearing.

Whoa Colin....we lost ya there for a second. In this lowly category, he was a fantastic choice.
