Notable absences: No Writing or Score nominations for WALL-E. And Kung Fu Panda looks to be holding the high nomination count of Surf's Up. Bolt, Tale of Despereaux and Horton Hears a Who didn't receive the wide numbers of notices that one would expect from an Oscar challenger, though Bolt at least got a nod for Animated Feature.
