You mean there is another Nine besides the one with Bardem and Cotillard?
Yea, it's based on a Academy Award winning (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong - I'm not double checking my info at the moment) animated short. It was essentially a silent film but this time they have a voice cast. Tim Burton liked it and decided to produce it as a feature length animated film. The original director returns.

A nomination for Richard Jenkins would be awesome. He's been very watchable in recent years, and an amazing tallent. If there were more focus on his character in North Country I think he could have landed a Supporting Actor nomination.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Looking at the rough draft of contenders, one would think it would be a pretty decent year. Now watch them all fail to meet our expectations.

Actually, I read an article the other day where he denied joining scientology and saying that he is a studier of religions, but asserting that being friends with someone does not make you a practitioner of their religion.

But Hancock has blockbuster written all over it. Smith isn't getting nominated for a blockbuster.

I doubt very much that Will Smith will even be a possibility for Hancock. And isn't he a laughing-stock now that he's converted to Scientology?

I really think everyone should be careful of predicting stage-to-screen transfers as contenders. Look at Dreamgirls, Hairspray, The History Boys and a number of others that had early buzz then suddenly collapsed when they were actually released.

Eastwood has two films coming out this year.

I hope Beckinsale gets some love for Nothing But The Truth.
With a Southern accent...
"Don't you dare lie to me!" and...
"You threaten my congeniality, you threaten me!"

-------

"You shouldn't be doing what you're doing. The truth is enough!"
"Are you and Perry?" ... "Please, Nelle."

Okay, I didn't know that.

In that case Body of Lies. The new film from Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio.
