Wow! I am just in need of enough time-wasting to attempt this. Nobody likes putting up a massive questionnaire and seeing nothing come of it. Before I do this: WOW! Too many questions!
Best Drama - Reprise
Best Comedy/Musical - Burn After Reading
Best Action/Mystery/Thriller - The Dark Knight
Best Horror/Fantasy/Sci-fi - WALL-E
Best Gay - Let the Right One In
Best Lesbian - WALL-E
Best Animation - duh.
Best Documentary - Waltz with Bashir
Best Acting Debut Male - Russell Brand, Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Best Acting Debut Female - Lina Leandersson, Let the Right One In
Best Foriegn film - Reprise
Best Writing Debut - Martin McDonagh, In Bruges
Best Directing Debut - Joachim von Trier, Reprise
Cinematography - honestly, the cinematography of the year that truly knocked me out was WALL-E. Last year was an embarrassment of riches. This year, not so much. No Assassination of Jesse Jameses or No Country for Old Mens. I'm going to say The Dark Knight.
Editing - The Dark Knight
Adapted Song - All the songs from "Hello, Dolly" that found their way into WALL-E.
Adapted Score - I'm not sure what you mean. Tarantino didn't make a film this year so this category doesn't apply.
Original Score - Alexandre Desplat, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Original Song - "The Wrestler" from the film of the same name.
Production Design (historical) - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Production Design (contemporary) - Synecdoche, New York
Production Design (fantasy) - Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
Costume Design (historical) - Milk
Costume Design (contemporary) - My Blueberry Nights
Costume Design (fantasy) - The Fall
Best Ending - Burn After Reading
Title Sequence - Happy-Go-Lucky
That's all you get.
