Whenever anyone in a show tries to get an audience member to join in, my attitude is, Not unless you pay us.

This got me to thinking what would Broadway/touring use to give people what they cannot have with movies/TV? What came to mind would be some form of audience participation. I wonder when shows are reopened, if it becomes more common to add some form of audience participation.

I don’t know when I’ll be back to New York, but I will be going back to see plays as soon as productions open up again.
