The Dead Girl - Brittney Murphy Lost Out

I think Brittany Murphy's best role to date (granted, I haven't seen The Dead Girl) was in Girl, Interrupted. She played really well off of Angelina Jolie.

I wasn't aware that Brittany Murphy ever had any buzz for this.

Why has Brittney Murphy lost all buzz for The Dead Girl. She was fantastic and it was such a great role!
