I'm surprised there isn't already a post on this.

I watched the movie tonight and I have to say it's the first wonderful film of 2006. While I can take or leave Natalie Portman and Stephen Rea, the film was overall a fantastic piece of screenwriting.

Only one major thing bothered me. In the scene where Evey steps out onto the balcony being drenched in rain, we are shown one scene to remind us how similar yet opposing V's own resurrection was. This was enough for me, however, the cut between the images at least three times, only causing me consternation since it felt like they were trying to make sure I caught the symbolism and similarities the first and second times. I feel insulted as a filmgoer with things like that. I appreciate the symbolism BUT I don't want it beating me over the head.
