You beat me to it, dan. I had the idea you'd be the other one to fully appreciate this.

In my younger years, due to family influence, I was more a Met fan, so I was aboard for the extraordinary events of 1969. No one played a greater part in that than Seaver.

A compleat pitcher. Won his 300th game at Yankee Stadium (as a White Sox), by a score of 4-1 -- 41 being his uniform number.

2020 just continues to slay us. In retrospect, Kobe dying in January set the tone, and it keeps rolling.

This guy was bigger than life when I was a kid. The hero of the Miracle Mets toward the beginning of a stellar career. Tip of the cap, Mr. Seaver.
