I'm fine -- the fires are not near my home, and at this moment are not headed toward me, but thank you for asking.

My family, however, is in the process of packing up for potential evacuation -- I just received the "is there anything here from your childhood you want us to save?" call from my mother. They haven't been instructed to evacuate just yet, but the evacuation area keeps creeping closer and closer toward them as the fire heads that direction. And apparently the sky in their neighborhood looks apocalyptic right now. We are all just hoping for the best at this point, but yikes, this is getting scary.

Here's wishing Original BJ and any other southern Californians here are safe from the fires. So far they have burned over 200 square miles.
