The two set disc is selling for just $2 more than the single disc. It's worth it for the questionaire alone.

Went on a spree:

Badlands by Terrence Malick
The Conversation by Francis Coppola
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou by Wes Anderson
Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky
Vagabond by Agnes Varda
Visions of Light by Richard Schickel
...and the first season of Scrubs, the one season I had yet to see. Lovin' it.

About 6 Russ Meyer titles came out in the UK a week ago. Another bunch is due for release in a months time.

Actually most of Meyers stuff was released in the US a few years ago but got snapped up very quickly and were also very expensive.

The UK editions are more reasonably priced.

Where did you get that copy of Faster, Pussycat, Kill Kill, Precious Doll? I checked the IMDb and Amazon.com and it has yet to be released.

I just picked up a really cheap copy of Mean Girls. I find it better to wait a couple of months for popular titles when the prices then drop dramatically.

A couple of other titles I bought this week include Fear and Trembling, Torment, Up and best of all Faster Pussycat Kill Kill.

I hadn't paid any attention to the extras until I got home and to me delight the Pussycat includes two commentaries. One by Russ Meyer and another by the 3 stars Tura Satana, Haji and Lori Williams.

There is also a documentary with the 3 stars and supporting player Sue Bernhard talking about the making of the film which I will watch tomorrow.

I have more Russ Meyer films on the way....

Added The Godfather trilogy to my collection. I got it for a little more HALF the regular price. Brand new. It's unbelievable. The mall I went to was having a three day sale. It's a good thing I got there on-time.

Here's what my DVD list look like now, btw.

Thanks to a truly Gift Card-slash-cash Christmas in my family, I have made out like a bandit with Amazon and eBay's used DVD sellers and added the following to my twelve-story-tall "to watch" pile (except for a couple that I've already seen).

Foolish Wives
Queen Kelly
Sino's Hou Hsiao-hsien 1983-1986 box (The Boys from Fengkuei, A Summer at Grandpa's, A Time to Live and a Time to Die, Dust in the Wind)
Kino's F.W. Murnau box (Nosferatu, The Last Laugh, Tartuffe, Faust, Tabu)
Kino's Fritz Lang box (Metropolis, Die Nibelungen, Spies, Woman in the Moon)
Mikey and Nicky
The Grapes of Wrath
and...
The Simpsons Season 5

I'm ashamed to list all these out, since I know for a fact I won't get around to some of them until perhaps this time next year.

I got the Jaws Special 25th Anniversary Edition DVD for half-price without realizing that next year is the 30th Anniversary of Jaws and they might be coming out with a bigger, better edition. Oh well, I'll just sell this one if that happens.
