I voted for Audrey....a star making performance, if there ever was one!

Kerr is good although her genteel Brit quality always makes me feel she was miscast.....and to me her role was borderline support....which is where I place her on my personal list.

Ava Gardner is superb....her earthy sexuality (very different from Harlow who brought out the slutty nature of the character), voice, mannerisms and great chemistry with Gable help to make her performance extremely memorable.

Haven't see Lili in a long while but I recall Caron was heartbreaking in the part.

Have never seen McNamara's film....like The Blue Veil (with Wyman), an extremely hard film to find for some reason.

My top 5:

Audrey Hepburn, Roman Holiday
Ava Gardner, Mogambo
Jean Simmons, Young Bess
Leslie Caron, Lili
Doris Day, Calamity Jane
