I first saw Testament in it's first release. I watched it a few more times when it came on on video.

Last year a bought the DVD and my partner and I watched it as he'd never seen it.

It has lost none of it's impact more then 20 years later.

My god, what a disturbing and affecting film. I haven't seen it in some years but it's one of those movies that's so exhausting and real that you almost hurt -- similar to the feeling I had after watching They Shoot Horses, Don't They?. Jane Alexander is fantastic in a devastating performance and was well-deserving of a nomination that year.
