My friend was his assistant for a year. He said he was a lovely human being.

I will always remember Seymour Cassel for his performance as Jason Schwartzman's father in Rushmore, a man who accepted his son's embarrassment of his profession with humor and understanding. Rushmore is a film built on cross-generational bridges and on those grounds, Seymour Cassel might be its heart. Rest in peace, Mr. Fisher.
