The Larry Sanders Show was one of the great comedy shows in all TV history -- as well as groundbreaking in making HBO into more than the station where you'd watch last year's movies.

An awful lot of people seem to be dying at ages I'd like to still consider on the young side.

His brand of comedy has proven quite influential, but he never seemed to be much in discussion for his contributions. RIP
