Charlie & Denise are real jerks

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

Yeah, I was going to suggest that. Either that, or just Richards.

Why am I so into this?

Denise Hurt by Heather's "Betrayal"

Once Denise Richards started airing her grievances, it apparently become difficult for her to stop.

The actress, who's currently in the midst of an ugly divorce battle with Charlie Sheen, already spoke out in court papers about some of the specific issues she had with her estranged husband--the alleged death threats, kiddie porn addiction and dalliances with prostitutes, to name but a few.

Now she's taking her former best friend, Heather Locklear, to task over Locklear's supposed "betrayal."

"Heather knows why we aren't friends," Richards told TMZ.com.

The obvious reason for the end of the friendship would seem to be Richards' reported romantic involvement with Locklear's estranged husband, Richie Sambora, whom the former Melrose Place star is in the process of divorcing.

Locklear's rumored beau of the moment, David Spade, seemed to perpetuate that speculation when he told reporters last week that Locklear was "still nursing the knife wound in her back."

However, Richards claims Locklear knows "that there was nothing that happened during either marriage."

"Heather knows why and when her marriage ended with Richie and she knows why my marriage ended with Charlie," she told TMZ.com.

"It is a betrayal because a lot of it isn't true and they know that and that's what's hard."

Locklear, thus far, has refrained from making any public statements regarding Richards and Sambora.

As for Sheen, he recently told Extra that he was "horrified" by the allegations Richards made in her recent court declaration and that she had "radically violated" their agreement not to discuss the details of their divorce publicly.

"It's the most vile attack I've ever witnessed, period," he said.

"Why was I allowed any contact, on any level, with her or the children for the past year? Why, if that's who I am?" he asked.

Richards, on the other hand, told TMZ.com she was under oath at the time she made her claims and stands by her declaration.

"This is one of the hardest times in my life," she told Us Weekly. "I have done my best to try and keep this private. It's unfortunate that the court document became public. My priority all along has been to focus on my children and their well-being."

Apparently believing the warring couple could use a little parental guidance, Martin Sheen weighed in, calling for a "cease fire," and telling Access Hollywood he had "every confidence that Charlie and Denise will eventually become friends."

We're going to file that one under wishful thinking.

Another woman is joining in...

More woman trouble for bad boy Charlie Sheen
AFP

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen, already in a sticky divorce from actress Denise Richards, is being sued by a woman who claims he used her as a model for the butt of jokes in his television comedy.

Ursula Auburn claims in court documents that the female stalker character "Rose" in the CBS network television comedy "Two and a Half Men" is based on her actions from when she dated Sheen, first in 1992, then occasionally up to 1998.

In the show Rose has a one-night stand with Charlie Harper -- the character played by Sheen -- then constantly appears at the most unusual moments.

"It is undeniable that Rose is based on Auburn and people who watch the show and know Auburn can see the resemblance," according to the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

"It is also clear that the events based on Auburn's own experiences as depicted through Rose are clearly meant to serve as some warped and twisted joke between Sheen and those who know Auburn. Moreover, Rose is depicted on the show as a crazy female with no life except for stalking Harper every day of her life," reads the document.

During their relationship Auburn "was always the more interested of the two and in many ways pursued Sheen," reads the suit, which calls for no less than one million dollars in damages for "humiliation" and "emotional distress."

The case was filed less than one week after former wife and ex-Bond girl Richards, 35, claimed in divorce documents that Sheen, 40, threatened to kill her, beat her, popped pills, solicited prostitutes and was obsessed with Internet pornography during their marriage.

Sheen denied the charges, but a judge ruled that he must stay away from her and their two young daughters.

Former Hollywood "Brat Pack" member Sheen is the son of "West Wing" star Martin Sheen and the brother of actor Emilio Esteves.

So much for the "wronged woman. Us Weekly (out tomorrow) has a cover story on Denise Richards stagging "best friend" and gated community neighbor Heather Locklear's husband, Richie Sambora, last November, months before the Locklear-Sambora split, and a month before Richards "attempt" at reconciling with Sheen. A case of the pot calling the cattle black, if you ask me.

Actor Charlie Sheen denies abuse charges by ex-wife

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Actor Charlie Sheen on Saturday denied charges from his estranged wife, actress Denise Richards, that he had been abusive toward her and their daughters and had threatened to kill her.

"I move forward and I maintain my integrity ... and focus on my children," Sheen told Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Mark Steines in an interview for the Paramount Pictures Corp. program to be aired on April 24.

On Friday, Sheen was ordered to keep at least 300 feet (90 meters) away from Richards and their two young daughters after the abuse allegations were made in court papers.

The restraining order is the latest chapter in the stormy marriage between Sheen, a one-time playboy, and model/actress Richards, 35, who filed for divorce from him last December, after less than three years of marriage.

Sheen, star of the hit CBS television series "Two and a Half Men," told Entertainment Tonight Richards' filing is a "heinous document of fiction."

"I'm deeply saddened because this is clearly demonstrating a wanting and willful attempt at what I describe as a radical and transparent smear campaign and clearly a departure from sound, sane, responsible co-parenting," Sheen said.

"It is a reaction to a failed marriage, a reaction to some twisted desire -- real or imagined -- to hurt, to punish, to discredit, to completely torpedo, to undermine my perception as a responsible father ... a contributing father, a guy who would give his life for his children."

Sheen was reacting to Richards' written declaration that she could "no longer accept (his) abusive and threatening manner and must stop him from the cycle of his abuse toward me and our children and his continued threats of violence and statements that he is going to kill me."

Richards is "the only one entirely culpable for putting these radical allegations out for public consumption ... my children included," Sheen told Entertainment Tonight.

Richards also alleged Sheen, son of actor Martin Sheen, abused prescription drugs, gambled compulsively, frequented prostitutes and liked to look at pornography on the Internet.

In the old days accusations like these would be enough to kill a career, but in today's blase world, they may not be enough. The media, and the public, fall for this guy's charm, just like Richards, over and over again.

Per Reuters, Sheen, in court papers, denied Richards' claims. In a statement on the entertainment Web site TMZ.com, Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield said, "For the last year, Charlie Sheen has been hit with these ridiculous charges over and over and over again and has chosen to be a respectful gentleman and just respond with no comment."

Sheen's "You're f---king with the wrong guy" threats to Richards may be sadly true.
