We can link to Wikipedia if the person has a page even if they don't have the updated information as they eventually will.

How on earth did we miss this??
Because the mainstream media is useless, that's how. I stumbled on Ms Pêra's untimely passing on Wikipedia quite by accident.
Aside from being one of Brazil's most acclaimed actress, she was also the 1981 winner of the National Society of Film Critics Award for best actress for her performance in Pixote.
Also, I'm inclined to think that when we post an R.I.P. we should simply link to Wikipedia (provided they have updated details of the passing) as Wikipedia provide a far more comprehensive career overview than most obituaries:
