R.I.P. Haskell Wexler

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

He made significant contributions to multiple remembered films during a great era of American cinema (including some, like American Graffiti and The Conversation, without topline credit). His one major directorial effort is terrific, very much a part of the times. A political activist, generous with his time and talents. Lived 93 years, and died with family to care for him. Who wouldn't sign up for a life like that?

Definitely one of the greats. He was still working in his 90s.
