I'm amazed that Bob Fosse still has no mention.

I forgot 'Superfly' was eligible. That changes my choices considerably!

I change my choice of Best Original Score from 'The Getaway' to 'Superfly' and my choice of "Dueling Banjoes" to "Freddie's Dead".

Fantastic album. I own it on vinyl.

Ok, that works.

So be it. The penalty of going first is that you have to think about preserving something no one else will. The benefit of going last is that most everything you want to preserve is there and you can go off-the-wall with your selections. Giving the person who went first then another turn (which won't often happen with more than 10 players) gives them a benefit for having gotten stuck going first.

And we're not forcing people to pick, Zahveed. If it goes through the turn order a second time and doesn't fill up, then its done. Not everyone has to place a second choice in any category.

How can ALL players go back in turn order and add to all categories if the first person in turn order fills them all?

How about we just go with one run through the roster, instead of forcing movies out of everyone like a dry lemon.

The minimum is 10. If it goes above 10, so be it, but we don't get to add choices ad infinitum. The minimum doesn't increase to 11 because there are 11 players. It's inteded to allow up to 11 nominees in each category IF everyone puts in 1 each. Otherwise, we go until there are at least 10 or everyone passes.

Now, each player would go back through in turn order and add to all categories that are under 10 if they so fit, passing categories if they so chose.

And, I'll add rainBard.

Let's add rainBard to this game. Since that will make 11 players, do we then get to go again until we have 11 in as many categories as we can?

As we go around a second time, what is the rule for category selection? Do we pick in category order from top to bottom or do we pick a category of our choosing?

If we pick a category that needs more than one pick to fill it do we get to pick two?

As with the other game, I am more concerned about the glaring omissions than I am some of the inclusions. For example, where are Bob Fosse, Diana Ross and Cicely Tyson? 1972 without those three is like 1960 without Robert Mitchum, Greer Garson and Deborah Kerr or 1978 without Jane Fonda, Angela Lansbury and Maureen Stapleton, oddly incomplete.

It would continue in turn order until everyone has had a chance to fill a category to ten or everyone has passed, but I think perhaps two passes through should be enough.

Let's go with The Ruling Class for Best Sound.

Personally, I think once each of us has had a turn, then that year is over--some years there just aren't enough quality choices, really, or we just haven't seen enough (as it is, I'm stretching it a bit to put Mariangela Melato in Best Actress, but as I haven't seen Lady Sings the Blues or Sounder or some of the others named by y'all, I was stumped with this category).
