Come Back, Little Sheba -- Warren Low
Flat Top -- William Austin
The Greatest Show on Earth -- Anne Bauchens
* High Noon -- Elmo Williams, Harry Gerstad
Moulin Rouge -- Ralph Kemplen
Haven't seen Come Back, Little Sheba nor Flat Top (actually haven't heard of Flat Top until today!). Out of the other three, High Noon clearly deserves this one. The Greatest Show on Earth is accurately edited and its rythm throughout the whole film, though dated, is fine. On the other hand, a few years ago (maybe two) I saw Moulin Rouge. I was imppresed by the film as a whole, and I had to ask myself why didn't it aged better in people's mind, in movie history. I know it ain't a masterpiece or something like that but it is very enojoyable and it made a respectful and aching portrait of a very well known character and, even for its time, it doesn't fall in all the stereotypes of biopic films. José Ferrer did a great job... so even if it is for the novelty of seeing this film Kemplen gets this award.

No. Actually, Okri will pass a category directly to mrlg which will commence the new lineup. You just had a turn three people ago.OscarGuy wrote:You'll just wait. Okri will pass a category to me and then I'll pass one to you.

It's not. I've just been away from the board lately and people haven't been taking their turn without prodding. Okri, pass on a category. (I'm allowing the Bette Davis win here, by the way).
