I voted for unlimited rescues because I don't see them as a big deal even I rarely use them myself but at a vote of 11 to 2 I guess others do.

I don't really have a preference, so long as players treat each other with respect.

Since this game began with 1 rescue, i think we should stick to that. It makes more sense to me too.

Another compromise might by one rescue per group per year.

I voted for one rescue per year only, because any fewer and the strategy is reduced dramatically. But I'll certainly live with whatever decision is made, ultimately.

However, I also wonder what people might think of some kind of limitation on the number of replacements (for example, no more than 2 per turn per player)? It would actually add another dimension of strategy as players whose favorite films were not awarded nominations would have to sort through available nominations that they didn't find so distasteful to preserve or rescue. It would also almost certainly decrease the overall level of replacement in the results, which would be a benefit or a demerit of the idea, depending on your point of view. I wonder if it might be a compromise we all could live with.

I prefer 1 rescue; it gives the game an element of challenge--do I rescue such-and-such or do I preserve such-and-such which might be eliminated by another player? It keeps us on the edge of our seats, as it were.

I think we should keep with the one rescue rule. It makes the game more fun knowing that you can only rescue one exited nominee out of maybe several you have in any given year.

That is indeed the question. I am putting this to a separate poll to allow those who feel they will be attacked for their opinions and option to make them known without fear of retaliation or retribution.
