Here's one I'm trying to remember the film it comes from:

"You want to know how to fight an idea? I will tell you: with another idea!"
"...it is the weak who are cruel, and...gentleness is only to be expected from the strong." - Leo Reston

"Cruelty might be very human, and it might be cultural, but it's not acceptable." - Jodie Foster

I have never seen Dune and when I look at quotes, that isn't even listed that way. It's in a separate reference all together. And for some reason, I want to say it's a polysyllabic word...

Alfred Hitchcock once said in an interview, though not in one of his films that "drama is life with the dull parts cut out".

Yes, I did post it there...and they are not very helpful either. If I had more information, I could provide it...jerks.

Anyway, I don't know that it's any of those movies...

Did you ask this same question in Yahoo Answers? I saw it in a Google search.

That's what I was thinking, but it doesn't sound right....and I can't find that listed on IMDB as a quote from the film...

I'm sure someone here knows what I'm talking about.

"<blank> is life" is the quote. The word that goes in the blank is some substance that's an important part of society in the semi-futuristic film in which the quote is featured...Can anyone help me figure out the movie and the quote?
