It's from The Spiral Road (1962), directed by Robert Mulligan, the same year as To Kill a Mockingbird, with Rock Hudson, Gena Rowlands and Burl Ives. It's available on DVD as part of Universal's Rock Hudson Franchise Collection.

Years ago, I saw a Rock Hudson film. It was in color and probably from the 1950s. It ended epic-ly, with perhaps (I think ) an Ocean view and grand, rhapsodic music. THEN, a bible verse quotation appears on the screen.
I believe it was 1 John 4:12. (It might've been two or three verses). Does anyone know what film this was?
