Let me just preface this by saying that yes, just about every film on this list is American. I'm sorry. I'm trying to remedy this problem by seeing as many foreign films of the nineties as I can but right now, these are the ones that I love the most dammit!

Lots of great films might've been on this list if I'd been in a different frame of mind when making it, like: Ed Wood, Schindler's List, Nixon, The War Zone, Mother and Son, Dead Man, Short Cuts, The End of the Affair, Paradise Lost, etc.
