Post by Big Magilla »

Kirk Douglas Award for Worst Actor: Richard Burton, Doctor Faustus; The Comedians
Natalie Wood Award for Worst Actress Raquel Welch, One Million Years B.C.; The Biggest Bundle of Them All; Bedazzled
The OK-Doc-Break-the-Arm-Again Award (for the Most Flagrant example of miscasting): to Charlton Heston for playing a human being in Planet of the Apes
The Piltdown Mandible (for the most obvious and unabashedly spurious scientific phenomenon): One Million Years B.C., for the contemporaneous existence of Raquel Welch and a passel of dinosaurs, an unscientific juxtaposition redounding entirely to the credit fo the dinosaurs
The Tedium Is the Medium Citation (to the worst student film): to Tim Hunter's Desire Is the Fire
The Tin Pan (to the most obnoxious movie song): Leslie Bricusse's "Talk to the Animals", for bloodcurdling anthropomorphism
The Merino Award: To the Pushme-Pullyou in Doctor Dolittle, who is a distant cousin to merinos, and at any rate leads just as tenuous an existence
