Two-way ties are fine. Any more than that is ridiculous.

I do want to close out these polls with best of all-time votes but we can revisit the polls over time to see if they change. The sad thing, though, is that they don't really. People tend not to revisit old posts. Everything is of the moment here like everywhere else.

Big Magilla... ties will break with time, as more people get to vote... Relax, go out for a walk with your dog, I don't know - go to see a movie even (something that some on this board don't seem to do much)... We don't need winners so soon, maybe we don't even need winners at all, and anyway if you change your votes, not only you betray yourself - but this is a personal thing of course - but also someone may cast a new vote after you and ties will be back...

After reviewing all the races I found that the tie between Ledger and Waltz was the only two-way tie I had broken. In fairness I was going to switch my vote back to Jones to allow the two-way tie to stand but now that Waltz has gotten another vote he is clearly the favorite here so I am going to leave well enough alone.

Despite how boring an awards season can be with a Waltz type out and out walk...I agree here Waltz should have a similar landslide type win.

Tommy Lee Jones or maaaaybe Heath Ledger would be considered if the board had not agreed with Oscar in '09

I don't think you should be breaking ties. Let them persist or allow more time for people to vote. Personally, I'd just say leave the tie.
