Best Actor 1927/28-1937

Post by Big Magilla »

We made some good selections in the first decade. Chaplin in The Circus; March in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; Muni in Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang; Laughton in Mutiny on the Bounty and Huston in Dodsworth were not only among the best of their time, they were among the best of all time.

My vote goes the ultimate character actor as star: Charles Laughton as captain Blight in Mutiny on the Bounty.
