First Winner Predictions for Past Years

Post by bizarre »

I don't know if anyone else makes predictions as early as I do, but usually I make preliminary ones in December for the next year, and 'officialise' them after the Oscars in February or March. Predicting the nominees at this stage is scattershot enough, winners even more so, but it's a bit of fun and I do it anyway. The 79th were the first Oscars that I tracked throughout the entire year, and IIRC these were the FIRST winner predictions I made for each year, usually made after Sundance and Berlin. Some of them were so wildly off the mark it is kind of funny! Does anyone remember their first winner predictions for past years?

Anne Hathaway (Love and Other Drugs)
Ed Harris (The Way Back)
Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right)

2009
