What are your thoughts on his Oscar winning performance? Ive seen a lot of people not like his performance, while I think his film is bad, I think he truely elevates it with his performance. He pours geniune sadness into that character, like he feels that the walls are closing in but he never gives up. I think the scene on the beach in particular is particularly affecting. I still think Brando gave the superior performance that year
