They were both in Scorsese's '91 remake, so +1.

And just cuz it tickles me, could we add Catherine Scorsese to the list of 2s (Coppola, Scorsese). She worked with more Oscar winning-directors than Sissy Spacek!!??! Wow.

Master list updated by factoring in Scorsese.

Can't believe that none of the 16 actors that I went through this morning has worked with a minimum of 6 BDs each.

5 - Warren Beatty (Beatty, Kazan, Levinson, Nichols, Stevens)
5 - Eva Marie Saint (Kazan, Mankiewicz, Mann, Minnelli, Zinneman)
5 - Orson Welles (Huston, Nichols, Richardson, Reed, Zinneman)
4 - Anne Bancroft (Attenborough, Ford, Nichols, Pollack)
4 - Barbara Hershey (Allen, Levinson, Scorsese, Wyler)
3 - Peter Boyle (Avildson, Friedkin, Scorsese)
3 - Albert Brooks ([James L.] Brooks, Scorsese, Soderbergh)
3 - Faye Dunaway (Kazan, Polanski, Pollack)
3 - Mia Farrow (Allen, Polanski, Reed)
3 - Harvey Keitel (Levinson, Richardson, Scorsese)
3 - Diane Ladd (Nichols, Polanski, Scorsese)
3 - Sidney Poitier (Mankiewicz, Pollack, Stevens)
2 - Sandra Dee (Minnelli, Wise)
2 - Cybell Shepherd (Allen, Scorsese)
1 - Paul Muni (Curtiz)
1 - Sissy Spacek (Stone)

... either because our searches have been exhausted or I have picked the wrong group of actors to check out.

Richard Attenborough directed Sandra Bullock in In Love And War.

Inspired by Damien and Precious Doll gushing (quite appropriately) over Edward G. Robinson in another thread, I checked his stats and came up with seven Oscar-winning directors: Capra, Curtiz, Ford, Huston, Mankiewicz, Minnelli, Wilder.
