Um... yes, I meant Clifton Webb.
Gaydar is no substitute for a fully functioning brain. That was embarrassing.

Bravissimo dws. Correct answer.dws1982 wrote:Maybe Sonic confused Lew Ayres for Clifton Webb, who was also nominated as part of that lineup?
I'm going to guess Best Supporting Actor, 1981. John Gielgud, James Coco, and Howard Rollins (who is my only question mark of the three).
But yes, Best Actor 1948 is a good answer too - with Clift, Dailey, Webb and EVEN possible bisexual Olivier. A very gay year.

And now, waiting for next year's Oscars, a little quiz. To the straight guys here (if they do exist): it's VERY stupid, I admit it.
The question:
Which Acting category & year was the (as far as I know) only time when three out of five nominees were gay?
Remember that I mean TRULY gay, not based on gossip. So for example Best Actor 1956 or Best Actor 1972 would be wrong answers because there are only rumors about Laurence Olivier's or Marlon Brando's sexuality (and anyway at least Brando was certainly not 100% gay).
Uri don't reveal the answer!
