The Golden Globes Predictions Contest
The Globes are a week away. Here are the rules to refresh your memory:
1. Pick a winner and an optional runner-up in all the FILM categories.
2. A correct prediction with a runner-up earns 2 points.
3. A correct runner-up prediction earns 1 point.
4. A correct prediction without a runner-up earns 3 points.
5. If three or less people get the right prediction, that prediction will earn them double points.
6. If you're the only one with the correct prediction, your prediction will earn you TRIPLE points.
7. Most accumulated points win.
8. Deadline is the moment Tina and Amy hit the stage and start their opening monologue.
OPTIONAL BONUS TIE-BREAKER QUESTION: Which of the film acting nominees (apart from Chadwick Boseman for obvious reasons) will NOT be there at all? As in neither attending the ceremony nor even bothering to Zoom in.
This will be scored using the right minus wrong method. You will earn one point for every right guess but you'll be DEDUCTED points for every wrong guess.
People who guess it accurately gets an additional 5 point bonus.
You can opt for "NONE" (as in everyone will be attending/Zooming in the ceremony) and if you're right, you'll get five points.
If the correct answer was "NONE" and you guessed some names, points will still be deducted! If you guessed "NONE", but are wrong, your points will get deducted for every name as well!
Example: If the correct answer was "NONE" and you guessed 3 names, you'll be deducted 3 points. If 3 nominees did not attend and you guessed "NONE", you'll also be deducted 3 points.
This is, of course, OPTIONAL. You don't have to answer this and risk losing points if you don't want to.
