Yes, it's listed alphabetically in the company credits after Padora (Yugoslavia) and Paradiso (Belgium). I think they used to list companies by distribution dates.

I'm not familiar with an "old" and "new" access option. I do know that you see more detail when you're logged in as opposed to not logged in.

Thanks. I looked on IMDb. but couldn't find it in all the minutia.
Their new layout is atrocious. It's intended for those unconcerned with details. At work, where I looked it up, I found it under the company section. At home, I am logged into my IMDb account, which allows me to display the old layout, which is much easier to navigate for me.

Silence is listed on Paramount's FYC page.

I used to be fairly good at this before the NBR started breaking out independent films in a separate category. Now I have no idea what they consider independent.

I have a feeling Silence is going to take this, but I'd feel better about the prediction if I knew who the U.S. distributer was. I was thinking Warner Bros., which would make it a slam dunk for them, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

In any case, here goes nothing:

Best Film
Silence

Ten Best:
Arrival
Fences
Hell or High Water
Jackie
La La Land
Lion
Loving
Manchester by the Sea
Moonlight
Sully

If only nine listed in addition the winner, leave off Fences.

(Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver (Silence) or Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge and Silence))

Actress: Natalie Portman (Jackie)
(Ruth Negga (Loving))

Sup. Actor: Liam Neeson (Silence)
(Jeff Bridges (Hell or High Water))

Sup. Actress: Viola Davis (Fences)
(Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea))

Director: Martin Scorsese (Silence)
(Barry Jenkins (Moonlight))

Ad. Screenplay: Silence
(Lion)

Or. Screenplay: Manchester by the Sea
(Hell or High Water)

Ensemble: Moonlight
(Lion)

Foreign Language: Toni Edrman
(Neruda)

Documentary: The 13th
(O.J.: Made in America)

Animated Feature: Kubo and the Two Strings
(Moana)

Breakthrough Performance: Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea)

Directorial Debut: Garth Davis (Lion)

NBR Predictions

Post by Mister Tee »

OK, I'll take a shot here. Flying more blind than usual, as I haven't been to the movies over the last several weeks when the contenders started appearing (what event of three weeks ago could have made me sick?), and of course we're all blind as to the quality of Silence, which could turn out anywhere from Million Dollar Baby to The Shipping News.

NBR's character has changed from the years when you could pencil in the most corset-dependent contender (Love & Friendship for the win!). I'm banking on the movie-love they showed when they picked Hugo -- as well as their standard Eastwood/Warner Brothers tilt.
