No deal breakers, but a slate of of nominees that honours the season would be my most hoped for outcome.

I'd love to see a MAJOR surprise, like Ruffalo in lead (IPB). The Morricone mention would be nice. Caine coming back after being forgotten. A total/absolut Danish Girl shut out.

Something is going to be rescued (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Seabiscuit, EL&IC), but what?

I liked your fomat

Deal breakers: Steve Carell and Brie Larson
(probably no reason to be nervous on the latter, but have this sinking feeling a Blanchett, Lawrence, Ronan, (all returners) Rampling (legend), & Vikander or less likely Mara slate might leave many forgetting who was left off)

What I'd like:

Kristen Stewart
A GG-esque Carol showing
Multiple acting noms for Steve Jobs...maybe not for Spotlight
Adam McKay...maybe not McCarthy
Ex Machina for screenplay...maybe not QT

Deal breakers: Michael Fassbender, Todd Haynes

There are others I want desperately (Brie Larson), who feel secure; these two are on the bubble. If I get them, I can bitch around the edges, but not complain too much. And if I don't...it'll be a sad morning, whatever else happens.

What I'd like:

Jacob Tremblay in either category
Carol shown respect
Someone in a category where they weren't expected
A supporting actor slate that makes for a real race
Continuing evidence this is a unpredictable year (i.e., not an offshoot of the DGA)
